Long time no Blog!

Yes, I know, it has been a while since I last blogged.

I have been busy chasing birds, squatting flies, catching a mouse and of course entertaining Mum and Dad .... the expectations of being a cat nowadays is pretty demanding.

I have not forgotten all of you who have been following my blog.  Just wanting to let you know that I am back and ready.  I keep you posted very soon - anyway just got a calling, need to go and shoo those annoying birds off the back deck.

Do I Have Your Attention Now?

Why do I feel like that sometimes humans think we are cryptic?  As a matter of fact, we are not!  You just don't seem to understand us until its too late!

Do I have your attention now?  (Really, it's pretty simple.)

Just take a look for yourself.

Family Roots

I haven't really spoken about my family roots... I thought this post would be a perfect opportunity to mention it. Yes I am adopted!!! In fact most of us cats are... the reality is that we don't really get a choice, do we? It's just accepted.

I left my biological mother (Roxie) and father (Andre) at 12 weeks... They are both pure Burmese and live in Newcastle... I also have siblings (can't remember how many, but a lot, maybe 4 or 5?) who also have left home. I do miss my real mum (Roxie) heaps, don't remember much of dad (Andre)

Mum Roxie and siblings

However, I can say that I am happy (for now ... ok I said it, I am happy most of the time... ) in my new home with my adopted parents.

They spoil me at times (however I do wish it was more often ...). I guess, it could of been worst, I could of ended up with an adopted family full of ratbag kids to contend with.

Melbourne is my new home now, I gotta say I would like to see more of it, if I could ... but unfortunately my (adoptive) Mum and Dad are too protective and have me house bound (with the occasional playtime treat of exploring the backyard).  I gotta say that I am quite intrigue at times to what is on the other side of the fence, especially when there sense of commotion.  Maybe one day, I might just make a dash for it out the front door! I know they are on to me ... I just need to be quick!

Shhhhh ... Don't Tell Dad!

I can't believe I continually to surprise myself?!  I thought the other day, I was "On Top of the World" but what I discovered today, has completely redefined it, for me.

I have beat all odds, and have succeeded in conquering the kitchen shelf. Now, this is a big deal for me, as there are obstacles below which has previously prevented me from reaching new heights.  But wait, the challenge is not over yet ... or is it?!

Hey Mum!  Shhhhh ...Don't tell Dad, but look at me?

What do you think? Should I keep on going? Or should I save it for next time!

Oh Crap ... Mum, I coming down now, just give me a tick.
Please don't squirt me with the blue water spray.

On Top Of The World

Ever get the sense of achievement or accomplishment after much persistence at something and ... Bang! It pays off!

Well I got that feeling the other day... just felt so liberated and I was actually on Top of the World (however some might just say, that its just on top of the glass cabinet, either to me, it's a big deal).

I have always wanted to climb Dad's favourite glass cabinet.  But would never get, quite that far. He would normally be all over me by the time I could make my next attempt.  Best time to do it is when he is zoned out watching TV... My strategy obviously worked ... and guess what, success prevails!

Now onto my next project ...

Cold Mornings Are A Drag

Seriously, woke up this morning and just felt like going back to sleep. It was so friggin' freezing! Even after fluffing up my fur I can still feel the chill. I  know its my first Melbourne winter, but already I am dreading it ... and its only started!

Can't believe Mum is so stingy on the heating system in the house ... Anyway, I thought to myself, now that I am up, I should get her up too. I gotta admit that I do enjoy licking her face in the morning (she hates it and usually pulls the blanket over the head). I get such pleasure in annoying her and interrupting her valuable sleep time. Other things I like to do, is sit on her chest or wrap my body around her neck (I only do it because its keeps me warm, but then she manages to fend me off).

Seriously! She needs to get up and feed me cos I am starving.  This weather makes me want to eat non-stop.  But I know that if I sit on her head that for sure she will have to wake up... (this is the quick and dirty method to get her up. She can't stand it when I do it!) ... Yeah - WINNER!! ... (finally, I got her up ... but for now, I will just sit in this warm spot on the bed until my food is ready).

My First Blog

I know what you are thinking, so don't judge me!  Yes I am a cat, but I can blog too!
This is my first blog and I want to tell you that I am not just your average cat.

I am blogging on behalf of other cats out there (especially burmese, cos we rule man .... sorry back to the post).  I have been very fortunate that my owners (yes, they are annoying sometimes but I do love them to bits ) has supported me in sharing my thoughts and view of the world (not entirely true, but I am doing it anyway).

So welcome and watch this space - as this is just the beginning of my journey!
